Our ‘Train & Ride’ motorcycle tour starts in Dubai at our training grounds where you spend the first day training with our team on basic off-road training. The next day, we go for a long ride where you can apply what you’ve learnt.
This tour is ideal for someone who wants to get a basic off-road training experience and ride for a couple of days while on trip to Dubai or for local residents who want to ride with a group on some curated routes with complete support provided.
This tour covers a scenic and relaxed ride to the cost of Kalba in the Northern Emirates of Sharjah via long, sweeping highways. There will be small sections of gravel roads via mountains as well but nothing too serious.
You will ride at a relaxed and comfortable pace, giving you enough time to soak in the amazing scenery en-route. This trip takes you through highways that cross the desert landscape of Dubai and then enters the hilly region of Sharjah and end at the beautiful coast of Kalba.
This ride is 80 percent tarmac and 20 percent gravel. Some basic off-road riding experience is essential.
Pillion goes absolutely free and there’s no extra fee if the hotel room is shared.
Our motorcycles are fully insured for comprehensive and third party damages. The weather in the UAE is amazing for rides from October to March. October is when the cooler temperatures start to set in. November, December, January and February are cold(er) and the local motorcycle community is buzzing during this time.
We have a mix terrain here. We have plenty of sand and plenty of gravel tracks we can ride on. We tend to avoid sand because the motorcycles aren’t suited for really soft sand. However, there might be some small packed sand stretches on some of our off-road routes. We take care to make sure we don’t ride through terrain that’s difficult and makes the riders uneasy.
We provide removable off-road suitable high-quality panniers with each motorcycle. These are the soft kinds which can manage off-road trails. These are waterproof as well. We start out rides from a hotel so there’s plenty of space and time to pack your luggage in these panniers. You can then change into your riding gear and leave your bags/suitcase at the hotel. We start and finish our ride at the same location which lets you wind down, freshen up and change in the hotel.
If you are joining an overnight tour with a hotel stay, you need to pack lightly for one night at a lively hotel. Apart from your full gear (helmet, gloves, riding jacket, riding pants, riding shoes), you can carry a couple of T-shirts, jeans/shorts, shoes/flip-flops/, undergarments, toiletries, etc. We advice you to travel light.
We accept all internal licenses that are valid in the UAE. It is best to check with the local authorities or the UAE embassy in your local country if your driving/riding license is valid in the UAE. For some countries, your license needs to mention that you have the ability to ride a large motorcycle above 250cc.
If you live in the UAE on a Residential Visa / Work Permit, you need a valid UAE Driving License.
If you are visiting the UAE as a tourist and want a rental motorcycle, you need to have a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) a.k.a. International Driving License and your original Driving License, both from your home country.
Passport holders of GCC, US, UK, Canada and certain other countries (mentioned above) can drive on their home country license in the UAE
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that a tourist or visitor can drive a Dubai-registered motorcycle in the UAE if they have an international driving license. This is in respect of visitors who have both a driving license and a passport from certain countries and this should be all that is required. (These countries include: all the GCC nations, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Germany, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Italy, United Kingdom, Turkey, Greece, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Romania, Poland, Finland, Portugal, Canada, United States, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.)
