Most of our clients prefer crossing the border from UAE to Oman and back and often have many questions on the process and requirements. This article will help you understand the process and the approximate timeframe to cross the border from UAE to Oman on a rented motorcycle.
Step 1 – UAE Exit
Riders can exit UAE at 3 borders with Oman. One at Hatta, one at Musandam (Al Dhara) and one at Al Ain (Mezyad).
All of these borders have the same process where people exiting UAE must present their passport and pay an exit fee (approx. $10).
On some occasions, the border control officer might request the documentation for the motorcycle as well.
Step 2 – Documentation – Personal
Please make sure you have the following documentation with you.
- Passport
- Visa – if you require a pre-approved visa to enter UAE/Oman
- Covid Vaccination/PCR report as required by the authorities.
Step 3 – Documentation – Rented Vehicle
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) – Provided by us
- Our Company Trade Licence
- Insurance (UAE & Oman orange paper)
- RTA NOC for rental activity
